About Ann

Dr. Ann Saffi Biasetti is a somatic psychotherapist, author, educator, and creator of Embodied Self-Compassion. Her work integrates neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and psychospiritual practice to help individuals and professionals reconnect with the wisdom of the body.

Ann is the creator of the Befriending Your Body Program (BFYB)™, a somatic, self-compassion-based recovery program for disordered eating and body reconnection and trains professionals through the BFYB Somatic Certification Training program.

With decades of clinical experience and advanced training in polyvagal theory, somatic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, Ann has developed a unique methodology for healing disordered eating, body image disturbance, and trauma through embodiment. Her work has reached individuals and clinicians around the world.

Ann maintains a private therapy and consultation practice based in Saratoga Springs, NY, where she integrates mind-body modalities to facilitate embodiment, holistic healing and personal growth. On any given day you can find her practicing and teaching yoga and meditation in her community and enjoying her family, friends, nature, animals, music, and embodied living.
