300 Hour Yoga Therapy Training Program began June 2018.

Please note that the level 1 & 2 Restorative Yoga Teacher Training programs must be completed prior to the start date and you must be a certified yoga teacher at the 200-hour level or more.

This comprehensive program is opened to yoga teachers that have at least a 200 hour or more certification and who have completed the level 1 & 2 restorative yoga training programs. It is held during the course of a year in 8-weekend modules beginning on a Friday evening 6-9pm and Saturday and Sunday 9-5. It is a registered as a Member School of the International Association of Yoga Therapy (IAYT) and is a foundational training in yoga therapy. Graduates will come out as foundationally trained in yoga therapeutics. Please not, this is not a full certification program.

You will learn:

Weekend 1

Posture Review Training/Case Presentation Module

A review of all the restorative poses, new modifications along with refinement of poses, sequencing, challenges, populations and client case study review.

Weekend 2

Embodied Asana/Anatomy and Yin Yoga Workshop Module

Review and deepening understanding of anatomy

Review and refinement of asana through the embodied door

Teaching of an understanding of Yin yoga, its difference from restorative and basic Yin poses to compliment restorative work

Weekend 3

Yoga Psychology Module

Review of the Koshas/Doshas and the components of the mind based in yoga psychology.

Weekend 4 – December

Medical and Emotional Health Module

Western/Eastern view of major mind/body dis-orders along with restorative therapeutic sequences for each:

Depression

Anxiety

Eating Disorders

Chronic Pain

PTSD/Trauma

Western/Eastern view of common medical dis-orders along with restorative therapeutic sequences for each

Weekend 5

Mindfulness-Based Embodiment ™ Module

Embodied teaching of the foundations of mindfulness along with refinement of the verbal dialogue used to assist in body and mind awareness. 

Weekend 6 – February

Case Presentation Module weekend/ Mentoring/Developing a Private Practice/Developing Your Practicum

Client case study review and finding your specialization/Practicum development

* Refinement of specialization

* Marketing and development of a practice

Weekend 7

Practicum Weekend

Discussing of projects and refinement of specialization

Practice sessions

Modified Weekend 8

Mentorship/Practicum Follow-up/Case Discussion and Graduation!
